Do you want to create, build and experiment with different materials? Come and join us for a creative art workshop around personal and shared experiences. Through drawing, writing and other techniques, we explore how memories can take shape in symbols, objects and collective works.

About the artist
Sarah Nakiito is an artist and designer active in Malmö. Her artistic practice moves between textiles, performance, installation and film. She explores the connections between body, material and stories, and textile techniques become tools to approach questions of cultural heritage and identity. Nakiito’s work takes shape in the meeting between thought and matter, where reflections on colonial and patriarchal historiography constitute a recurring driving force.

About the workshops/festival
During the summer, Skånes konstförening presents a series workshops at Sevedsplan/Summer square in connection with the Seved festival, in collaboration with Red Cross, Fryshuset and MKB with support from Malmö City. The summer square in Seved is installed from June to September. Skånes Konstförening is supported by Malmö City, Region Skåne and the Swedish Arts Council.
