Nominate an artist for our exhibition grant

Nominate an emerging artist for the Sven and Ellida Hjorts exhibition grant before June 1, 2024!

We are looking for practices that you find relevant and convincing. Your nomination can be long or short, in depth or just a brief statement.

Since 2017, Skånes konstförening annually awards an emerging artist based in Skåne with the Sven and Ellida Hjorts Exhibition Grant. Former recipients include Hanni Kamaly, LealVeileby, Ikram Abdulkadir, Cia Kanthi, Sana Jarrar, Matilda Tjäder and Stacey de Voe.

The grant includes a stipend of 20 000 SEK and a solo exhibition at Skånes konstförening in the beginning of 2025. The recipient is elected by a jury from Skånes konstförening’s board that will contact some of the nominated artists for studio visits in June. The final recipient will be announced during the summer 2024.

Emerging artists based in Skåne can be nominated. Submit your nomination to info@skaneskonst.se in English or Swedish no later than June 1. Include the following:

– The artist’s email address and/or other contact info
– A short statement on why the artist should receive the grant (1000 characters)
– Link to the artist’s website or a PDF portfolio
