Come and celebrate the first step towards a child-friendly neighbourhood in Norra Sofielund, with a neighbourhood-wide festival and a creative workshop with Skånes konstförening!

At ‘Vändzonen’ between Sofielunds fritidsgård and Folkets hus

Would you like to create, experiment and build with clay and other exciting materials? Come and join a creative workshop with Skånes konstförening! During the workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to try out different methods and explore the materials in your own way.

During the Day, ‘Vändzonen’ becomes a temporary event space with music and creative activities. The programme is inspired by ideas by the youth in the area and has been developed together with them to create a celebration that reflects Sofielund’s energy and creativity.

Gatufesten 28–29 August

Together with local residents, associations, organisations and visitors, Malmö Stad invites you to two days of play, barbecuing, music, flea markets and activities for the whole family. Come and meet your neighbours, share your thoughts, discover what’s happening in Norra Sofielund and join us in celebrating a neighbourhood in transformation.

About Barnstadsdel Norra Sofielund

The Malmö Stad  is developing Sweden’s first child-friendly neighbourhood in Norra Sofielund. Through safer streets, more greenery and innovative meeting places, the project aims to create a neighbourhood where children can move around more freely and where the entire area becomes greener and more vibrant. The work began in June 2026 and will continue for several years.
