Welcome to the celebration of Simon Ferner’s publication, SLAGG!

The publication is released in conjunction with Simon Ferner’s exhibition SLAGG at Skånes konstförening (15 February–23 March 2025), which revolves around several industrial sites in Bergslagen, Skåne, and Liberia. In the exhibition, materials and forms carry a larger story about what was left when the mining ceased and the industries were shut down.

Curators: Albin Hillervik and Janneke Schoene

Editors and design: Stacey de Voe, Simon Ferner, Albin Hillervik, Janneke Schoene

About the artist
Ferner’s artistic practice revolves around forgotten and hidden parts of our common history. Through research in archives, libraries and museum collections, he connects and maps unexplored stories together with site-specific investigations. His works raise questions about how these places bear their history and what traces remain today. Ferner is the 2024 recipient of the Sven and Ellida Hjort Exhibition Grant.
