Nominate an emerging artist for the Sven and Ellida Hjorts exhibition grant until May 29.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are looking for practices that you find relevant and convincing. Your nomination can be long or short, in depth or just a brief statement. All nominations fulfilling the criteria below are welcome and will be considered.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since 2017, Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening awards one emerging artist per year with the Sven and Ellida Hjorts Exhibition Grant to an emerging artist based in Sk\u00e5ne, Sweden. The grant includes a stipend of 20 000 SEK and a solo exhibition at Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening in the beginning of 2023 (incl. production budget of 20 000 SEK, exhibition fee, editorial and curatorial support).<\/span><\/p>\n

The recipient is elected by a jury from Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening\u2019s board. The jury will make a shortlist from the nominations and contact the selected artists for studio visits in June. The final recipient will be announced during the Summer 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n

Former recipients include Hanni Kamaly (2017), LealVeileby (2018), Ikram Abdulkadir (2019), Cia Kanthi (2020), and Sana Jarrar (2021).<\/span><\/p>\n

Submit your nomination to hjortsminnesfond@skaneskonst.se in English or Swedish no later than May 29.

\n<\/span>\u2013 The artists email address and\/or other contact info
\n<\/span>\u2013 A short statement on why the artist should receive the grant (1000 characters)<\/span><\/p>\n

Please note, only emerging artists in Sk\u00e5ne are eligible.
\n<\/span>You may attach web links or PDFs relevant to your nomination (e.g. portfolio, CV) no larger than 5 MB (not compulsory).<\/span><\/p>\n
