Since 2017, Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening awards an emerging artist based in Sk\u00e5ne, Sweden, per year with the Sven and Ellida Hjorts Grant. Beyond a stipend of 20 000 SEK, the award includes an exhibition at Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening in the beginning 2022, including a production budget of 20 000 SEK, exhibition fee according to the Swedish Artists’ Association\u2019s recommendations, and curatorial support from Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening.
Nominations are open until May 31, 2021.
The recipient will be announced in the Fall of 2021.
Hanni Kamaly was the first recipient in 2017, followed by LealVeileby (artist duo Ant\u00f3nio Leal and Jesper Veileby) in 2018, Ikram Abdulkadir in 2019, and Cia Kanthi in 2020. The recipient is elected by a jury consisting of three representatives from Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening\u2019s board. The jury will make a shortlist from the received nominations from the public and contact the artists for studio visits in June.<\/p>\r\n
