{"id":5046,"date":"2020-04-27T15:02:48","date_gmt":"2020-04-27T13:02:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/skaneskonst.se\/?p=5046"},"modified":"2022-01-05T14:47:05","modified_gmt":"2022-01-05T13:47:05","slug":"open-call-nominera-en-konstnar-till-sven-och-ellida-hjorts-utstallningsstipendium","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/skaneskonst.se\/en\/open-call-nominera-en-konstnar-till-sven-och-ellida-hjorts-utstallningsstipendium\/","title":{"rendered":"Open call to nominate an artist for the Sven and Ellida Hjorts Grant"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>From April 24 to May 24, 2020, Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening opens up for nominations of artists to Sven and Ellida Hjort\u2019s exhibition grant!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Since 2017, Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening awards one artist per year with the Sven and Ellida Hjorts Grant to an emerging artist based in Sk\u00e5ne, Sweden. Hanni Kamaly was the first recipient in 2017, followed by LealVeileby (artist duo Ant\u00f3nio Leal and Jesper Veileby) in 2018, and Ikram Abdulkadir in 2019.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The recipient is elected by a jury consisting of two representatives from Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening\u2019s board and one external arts professional. The jury will make a shortlist from the received nominations from the public and contact the artists for studio visits.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Beyond a stipend of 20 000 SEK, the award includes an exhibition at Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening in the beginning 2021, including a production budget of 18.000 SEK, artist fee of 7000 SEK and curatorial support from Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The recipient will be announced in the summer of 2020.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Who is eligible for the award?<\/strong><br \/>\u2013 Emerging artists based in Sk\u00e5ne, Sweden<br \/>\u2013 Artists who are not currently students<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Guidelines<\/strong><br \/>\u2013 Anyone can nominate an artist that they think should receive the award<br \/>\u2013 You can only nominate one artist and it cannot be yourself <br \/>\u2013 Multiple nominations will not increase your chances<br \/><br \/><strong>Please submit your nomination to <\/strong><a href=\"mailto:hjortsminnesfond@skaneskonst.se\"><strong>hjortsminnesfond@skaneskonst.se<\/strong><\/a><strong>.
