Through a journey of reinterpretations of Swedish pop classics, the question is asked: who is the stranger?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Program<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">19.00\u201320.00: Viewing of Transmissions, and DJ set by DJ VV<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">20.00\u201320.30: Performance by Lydia \u00d6stberg Diakit\u00e9<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">20.30\u201321.00: DJ set by DJ VV<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Lydia \u00d6stberg Diakit\u00e9<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (b. 1994, based in Copenhagen) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans choreography, video, text, and installation. Educated at the Danish National School of Performing Arts, they explore themes of identity, power, heritage, and collectivity through speculative narratives. Diakit\u00e9 is co-founder of the Dance Cooperative in Copenhagen and a member of The Union, a platform working toward decolonial discourse in Danish art and culture.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>DJ VV<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has since her debut been a force in the music scene, captivating audiences with her eclectic sound infused with rich cultural influences and irresistible rhythms. Her sets are a vibrant mix of Afro electro, Bailefunk, ghetto tech, UKG, Jersey Club and sexy remixes that keep the dance floor alive and buzzing. DJ VV has played and booked for major venues and festivals across Scandinavia. Her contributions to the scene go beyond just music; she&#8217;s always been on a mission to create a more diverse and inclusive space for all.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is part of\u00a0 the international symposium, organized by Black Archives Sweden together with curators Tawanda Appiah and Ulrika Flink and presented in conjunction with the group exhibition <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Transmissions<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening.\u00a0The symposium begins on 29 November at Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening and continues from 30 November to 1 December at Black Archives Sweden, Malm\u00f6 Konsthall, and Moderna Museet Malm\u00f6. The exhibition departs from Black Archives Sweden\u2019s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Family Archive <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">collection, which is dedicated to sustaining diasporic life through experimentation, care, and communal activation.
