Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening is seeking a Producer & Communicator to join our small team. The role works closely with your colleagues in the realisation of exhibitions and public programmes, while also shaping how these are communicated across various platforms.<\/p>\n

We are looking for someone who wants to work in a collaborative environment, enjoys handling multiple responsibilities and is committed to working within a contemporary art space. In return, we offer a dynamic and social work environment with the chance to develop the future of this role.<\/p>\n

Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening is currently restructuring its positions and this new role will work closely with the Artistic Director and the Administrative Director as well as our technicians and hosts. The position is 40% with flexible working hours, and the workload varies between more intensive production periods and calmer phases. You will take part in our public events and share responsibility with the team for keeping the exhibitions open on weekdays.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/h4>\n

Production and Coordination
\n<\/i>\u2022 Lead the production of exhibitions and programmes
\n\u2022 Coordinate install and production administration such as orders, purchases, shipping, and travels
\n\u2022 Assist with simpler exhibition installation tasks
\n\u2022 Host public events and keep the exhibition open on average one day per week<\/p>\n

Communication
\n<\/i>\u2022 Develop and implement Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening\u2019s communication strategies
\n\u2022 Create content for website and social media
\n\u2022 Produce newsletters and press releases and coordinate press contacts
\n\u2022 Produce posters and handouts with our templates
\n\u2022 Coordinate documentation of exhibitions
\n\u2022 Translations from English to Swedish<\/p>\n

Qualifications<\/h4>\n

\u2022 Degree in Art History, Fine Arts or equivalent relevant education
\n\u2022 Genuine interest in contemporary art and the cultural field in general
\n\u2022 Experience working with art spaces, cultural organisations or cultural production
\n\u2022 Knowledge of exhibition technology and simpler exhibition installation tasks
\n\u2022 Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail
\n\u2022 Good communication skills in Swedish and English
\n\u2022 Knowledge in Photoshop and\/or Indesign or willingness to learn
\n\u2022 A driver\u2019s license is considered a merit
\n\u2022 We place great emphasis on personal suitability<\/p>\n

\u00a0Terms<\/h4>\n

\u2022 Permanent, part time position 40% (on average 16 hours per week)
\n\u2022 The work is on-site in Malm\u00f6, with some evening and weekend hours
\n\u2022 Salary: 13 600 SEK\/month (based on a full-time salary of 34 000 SEK)
\n\u2022 Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening applies a 6-months probationary period<\/p>\n

About Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening<\/h4>\n

Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening is a contemporary art space for exhibitions, cultural events and pedagogy in the S\u00f6dra Sofielund neighbourhood in Malm\u00f6, Sweden. We present 4-5 exhibitions annually and a public program including artist talks, lectures, publication releases, concerts and performances. We have projects for children and youth in collaboration with residents and organisations in our neighbourhood. With the program, Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening creates a space where artists, cultural workers and audiences explore the crucial artistic and social questions of our time.<\/p>\n

The association was founded in 1904 and has since then had a prominent position in the art scene of the city, region and beyond. The program is run as a non-profit art association, and the daily work is carried out by the regular staff and hourly employees. These are employed by the board of Sk\u00e5nes konstf\u00f6rening.<\/p>\n
